Forsaken is a Roblox survival horror game where a team of Survivors tries to outlast one Killer until the round timer runs out. To win as a Survivor, stay alive, stick near your team, repair generators to cut time off the clock and keep some stamina in reserve for chases. This guide covers how a round works, the three Survivor classes, good first characters, who the Killers are and how to earn Player Points for new characters.

How to win in Forsaken: the short answer

Survivors win if at least one of them is still alive when the timer reaches zero. The Killer wins by eliminating every Survivor before that happens. The game's own description puts the Survivor job simply: protect your teammates, complete the objectives and survive until the timer hits zero.

Forsaken takes inspiration from Dead by Daylight, but there is no exit to escape through. Every round is a race against the clock, so a Survivor who is alive and hiding is still helping the team.

Your plan as a Survivor, in order of importance:

  1. Stay alive. A Survivor who goes down early cannot help anyone.
  2. Repair generators while the Killer is busy somewhere else, because each one takes time off the timer.
  3. Stay near teammates so someone can help you in a chase.
  4. Keep some stamina in reserve so you never run dry with the Killer behind you.
  5. Save your abilities for the moments that matter most.

How a round of Forsaken works

The lobby and who becomes the Killer

Between rounds you wait in the lobby, where you can visit the shop, pick your character and spectate the round in progress. You cannot simply choose to be the Killer. The game uses a stat called Malice, shown on the server leaderboard: the player with the most Malice is usually picked as the next Killer, and their Malice drops back down once they get the role. You build Malice by playing matches, completing objectives and landing some abilities, so everyone gets a turn sooner or later.

The timer and Last Man Standing

Once the round starts, the timer counts down. When only one Survivor is left, the round enters Last Man Standing, often shortened to LMS. Special music kicks in, and the last Survivor has to hold out alone.

Generators

Generators are spread around every map. Walk up to one, interact with it and solve a short wire puzzle to repair it. Several Survivors can work on the same generator at once. Every puzzle you finish takes time off the round timer and earns you Player Points.

Generators are optional, so a round can be won without fixing any, but skipping them gives the Killer far more time to hunt. Two things to remember:

  • Taking damage knocks you off the generator straight away.
  • While you repair, you stay in one spot and are easy to sneak up on, so keep listening for the Killer's music.

Items on the map

Items lie around each map at set spawn spots. The ones you will usually find are the Medkit, which heals you, and Bloxy Cola, which gives a short burst of speed. Killers cannot pick items up, so grab what you see. A Medkit takes several seconds to use, so heal somewhere safe rather than in the middle of a chase. Many players save Bloxy Cola for Last Man Standing, but it is just as useful earlier, for example to reach teammates who can protect you when you are the Killer's easiest target.

When you get caught

If the Killer gets you, you go back to the lobby and can spectate the rest of the round. You still earn a few Player Points if you survived for a while before going down, so an early loss is not a wasted round.

Survivor roles: Survivalist, Sentinel and Support

Every Survivor belongs to a class, and the class tells you your main job in a round.

Survivalists

Survivalists are built to dodge the Killer and look after themselves. They are good at slipping away, working on generators and lasting until the end. Noob carries a Bloxy Cola for speed, a potion that helps them soak up damage and a burger that helps them hide. 007n7 can drop a clone to fool the Killer and teleport away to a far-off spawn point. Veeronica escapes on her skateboard and can even knock the Killer back.

Sentinels

Sentinels are frontline defenders. Their abilities stun or slow the Killer, which buys time for a teammate who is being chased, and they often have more health or ways to heal themselves. Shedletsky swings a sword that stuns the Killer and eats fried chicken to heal. Guest 1337 blocks the Killer's attacks and punches back. Chance gambles on coin flips that can help or hurt him, and Two Time fights with a dagger and can earn a second life.

Support

Support Survivors heal and protect the team. They usually have less health than everyone else, so they should stay out of the Killer's way and let the Sentinels take the heat. Elliot throws pizza to heal teammates. Builderman builds a sentry that slows the Killer and a dispenser that heals Survivors nearby. Dusekkar uses a staff to shield teammates or slow the Killer, and Taph sets tripwires and mines that slow the Killer and show everyone where they are.

Best Forsaken survivors for beginners

Noob and a few other Survivors are free from your first visit, so check the shop in the lobby to see which ones you already own. Most of the rest cost Player Points. These picks are the easiest to learn:

  • Noob teaches you the basics of running, hiding and using items at the right time. Everything they carry is about staying alive, which is exactly what a new player needs.
  • Shedletsky is a simple Sentinel. Timing his sword stun teaches you how Killers move and attack, and that knowledge carries over to every other character.
  • Elliot suits players who like helping. Healing a teammate after a chase keeps them in the round and earns you points. He has low health and cannot heal himself with his own pizza, so keep your distance from the Killer.
  • Taph is a straightforward Support pick. Place tripwires on paths the Killer is likely to use, and the whole team gets a warning when one is set off.

Survivors such as Guest 1337, Chance, Two Time and Dusekkar are fun but harder to play well, so save them for when you know the maps and the Killers. Not sure who fits your playstyle? Take our Which Forsaken character are you quiz and see who you get.

Chase basics: how to survive the Killer

Chases decide most rounds. These habits make the biggest difference.

Listen to the music

Every Killer has their own chase theme, and it builds up in layers as the Killer gets closer. When the music starts, the Killer is nearby. Treat the quieter early layers as your cue to finish a puzzle or move away before you are spotted.

Break line of sight

Run around walls, buildings, trees and corners, then change direction once you are out of view. A Killer who loses sight of you has to guess where you went. Running in a straight line across open ground is the quickest way to get caught, because Killers sprint faster than Survivors. Some Killer abilities also reveal your outline through walls for a few seconds. If you have been highlighted, keep moving instead of hiding in one spot.

Manage your stamina

Sprinting drains your stamina bar, and it refills when you stop sprinting. If the bar hits empty, there is a short pause before it starts to refill, and that pause is when many Survivors get caught. So:

  • Walk when the Killer is nowhere near you.
  • Do not start sprinting the moment you spot the Killer far away. Keep your stamina for when they close in.
  • Stop sprinting just before the bar runs out, so it starts refilling straight away.
  • If the Killer stops sprinting, stop too. Survivors walk faster than Killers, so you keep your lead while your stamina comes back.

Time your abilities

Abilities have cooldowns, so using one too early can leave you with nothing when you really need it. A stun, a speed boost or a clone is worth the most when the Killer is right behind you and about to swing.

Lead the Killer away from your team

If you are being chased, avoid running straight to teammates who are repairing a generator. The Killer may switch to them, and one hit knocks them off the repair. The exception is a Sentinel: running towards one gives them a chance to stun the Killer and win you a head start.

Team play: how to work together

Forsaken rewards teams that look out for each other. A few habits that help every round:

  • Stay near teammates, but do not bunch up in one spot. Some Killer attacks can hit several Survivors at once.
  • Split the jobs. A couple of Survivors can work on generators while a Sentinel keeps the Killer busy.
  • Heal after a chase. If you play Support, find teammates who were just hit and patch them up before the next attack.
  • Be a good spectator. If you are already out, cheer your team on instead of blaming anyone.
  • Be kind in chat. Everyone loses rounds. Never share personal information, and never give anyone your password or account details. Our Roblox account safety guide explains why.

If you are the last Survivor

Play for the clock. Keep moving, use corners, save your speed boost for when the Killer is close and skip any risk you do not need to take. Each extra second you stay alive brings the timer closer to zero.

How Killers work in Forsaken

The Killer is one player with far more health than any Survivor, a basic attack and a set of special abilities. Their job is to find every Survivor and take them out before the timer runs out. Killers earn Player Points for each Survivor they eliminate and for winning, and they still get some points when they lose.

When it is your turn to be the Killer:

  • Check the generators. Survivors need to work on them, so that is where you will often find them.
  • Do not chase one Survivor forever while the others repair generators and the clock runs down.
  • Respect the Sentinels. Charging straight into a stun wastes precious time.
  • Break Builderman's sentry and dispenser when you find them, because they slow you down and heal Survivors.

Who are the Killers in Forsaken?

Many Forsaken Killers are based on famous Roblox myths and characters. The Killers you can play include:

  • Slasher: a free starter Killer and one of the easiest to learn the role with. He is an original Forsaken character.
  • c00lkidd: a versatile Killer based on a well-known old Roblox exploiter account, with attacks for close and long range and pizza delivery bots that hunt Survivors down.
  • John Doe: a trap Killer who wears Survivors down with spike walls, corrupted traps and a trail of corruption behind him. He is based on one of Roblox's best-known urban legends.
  • 1x1x1x1: a long-range Killer who can bring fallen Survivors back as zombie minions. Like John Doe, 1x1x1x1 comes from old Roblox lore.
  • Noli: a trickster based on an early Roblox myth. He creates hallucinations, including fake generators and fake copies of things Survivors make, such as Elliot's pizza. If a generator looks a little off when Noli is hunting, be careful.
  • Guest 666: a demon based on a classic Roblox legend, who wears the team down over time and grows stronger as Survivors fall.
  • Nosferatu: a vampire who moves without footsteps, turns into a bat and leaves bloody traps on the ground.
  • Azure: a trap-focused Killer and one of the hardest to master.

The developers keep adding Killers in updates, so check the Forsaken Wiki for the latest roster.

Player Points: how to unlock new characters

Player Points are Forsaken's in-game currency. You spend them on new Survivors, Killers, skins and emotes. You earn them by:

  • Winning a round as a Survivor or as the Killer
  • Lasting a good while before going down, even if you do not survive the round
  • Completing generator puzzles
  • Using your abilities well, such as stunning the Killer as a Sentinel or healing a teammate as a Support
  • Eliminating Survivors when you are the Killer

A few things worth knowing:

  • You cannot earn Player Points in private servers, so play in public servers when you are saving up.
  • The shop sells Player Points for Robux, but you never have to buy them. Most characters unlock with points you earn by playing, and a few come from quests or events instead.
  • Player Points cannot be turned into Robux. Anyone offering free Player Points or free Robux in exchange for your login is trying to steal your account, and free Robux generators do not exist, as our free Robux generator guide explains. For the real options, read how to get Robux safely.

A quick note for parents

Forsaken is a horror game built around being chased, so it can feel scary for younger players. The game's own description warns that it contains flashing lights and loud audio and advises players with epilepsy not to play. Every Roblox game shows a content maturity label on its page, and Roblox parental controls let parents choose which games a child can join based on that label, or block a specific game. Watching or playing a round together is the easiest way to decide whether it suits your child.
