How to Get Robux Safely, and How to Spot Free Robux Scams

Search for "free Robux" and you will find thousands of sites promising instant Robux. Almost all of them want the same thing: your account. This guide covers every real way to get Robux, then shows you exactly how to recognise the scams so you never lose an account to one.

The short answer

Robux only exist on Roblox's own servers. Nobody outside Roblox can create them, which means there is no such thing as a working Robux generator. Real Robux come from Roblox itself, from buying them, or from other players and creators paying you through Roblox's own systems.

Every real way to get Robux

1. Buy Robux from Roblox

The simplest way is to buy Robux on roblox.com or in the official Roblox app on your phone, tablet, computer or console. Always buy inside the official app or on the real website. Anyone selling "cheap Robux" somewhere else is either scamming you or selling stolen goods, and accounts involved in those deals can be banned.

2. Roblox gift cards

Roblox gift cards are sold in many shops and online stores. You redeem the code on roblox.com and choose Robux or credit. They make a good present, because the person receiving it never has to share payment details. Only buy cards from real retailers: a "gift card code" sold by a stranger online is often already used or fake.

3. Roblox Premium

Roblox Premium is a monthly subscription that gives you a Robux allowance every month, along with extra benefits such as trading. If you would buy Robux every month anyway, Premium is usually better value.

4. Make something people want

This is how many players earn large amounts of Robux. Roblox pays creators when people spend Robux in their experiences or on their items:

• Game passes and developer products in an experience you build in Roblox Studio, which is free.
• Avatar items and clothing you design and sell in the Marketplace, if your account meets Roblox's requirements.
• Premium Payouts, which reward creators based on how long Premium members spend in their experiences.

Every option has its own eligibility rules, so check Roblox's Creator Hub before you start. Building something takes time, but it is the one route where your earnings can keep growing.

5. Get paid by a group

Groups can hold Robux and pay members out of their funds. Builders, scripters, artists and moderators who help a group's game are often paid this way. Only accept payouts that come through Roblox's group payout system, never through a third-party site that asks you to log in.

6. Earn rewards from a site you trust

Some sites, including Robux Quiz, give points for playing that can later be reviewed for a reward. If you use one, check it first:

• It never asks for your Roblox password or a login code.
• It explains clearly what you can earn, who can earn it and how payouts are checked.
• It says plainly that it is not affiliated with Roblox.

On Robux Quiz you earn coins and gems by playing quizzes. Link and verify your own Roblox account and you can ask for coins to be reviewed for a payout. Nothing is guaranteed, every request is checked by a person, and we never ask for your password. Our page on how Robux Quiz rewards work explains it step by step, and the full rules are in our terms.

How to spot a free Robux scam

These are the tricks that come up again and again:

• Robux generators. Type your username, choose an amount, watch a progress bar... then "complete a human verification". The verification is a survey or app download that makes the scammer money. No Robux ever arrive.
• Login pages that look like Roblox. The link goes to a site with a slightly wrong address, such as extra words, numbers or swapped letters. Whatever you type goes straight to the scammer.
• "Paste this in your browser." Someone asks you to paste code into the address bar or the developer console to unlock Robux or items. That code hands your logged-in session to them, often without needing your password at all.
• Fake Roblox staff. Messages that claim to be from Roblox admins, saying you won a prize or your account will be deleted unless you "verify". Real Roblox staff will never ask for your password.
• Too-good trades. "Give me your item first and I will give you double back." Items handed over outside the official trade window almost never come back.
• Free Robux videos and comments. Promo codes for Robux do not exist. Real Roblox promo codes unlock free avatar items, never Robux.

What to do if you already fell for one

1. Change your Roblox password straight away, and change it anywhere else you used the same one.
2. Turn on 2-Step Verification in your account's security settings.
3. Use "Log out of all other sessions" in your security settings to kick out anyone who copied your session.
4. Contact Roblox Support through roblox.com if items or Robux were taken.
5. Tell a parent or someone you trust, especially if you paid money or shared personal details.
