What is the Robux tax?

When someone buys your game pass or developer product, Roblox keeps 30% of the price and you receive 70%. Players call that 30% the Robux tax. A game pass sold for 100 Robux leaves you 70; one sold for 1,000 leaves you 700.

The fee pays for hosting, payments and moderation, and it is the same for every creator. It is taken automatically at the moment of the sale, so the price players see is always the full price.

How to get an exact amount after tax

Divide the amount you want by 0.7 and round up. To receive 1,000 Robux, set the price to 1,429; to receive 500, set it to 715. The calculator above does the rounding for you, and the answer it gives is the lowest price that still pays at least the amount you asked for.

Tips for pricing game passes

Test a few prices. A pass at 99 Robux often sells far more often than one at 150, and more sales can beat a higher price.
Round numbers feel fair. Players trust 25, 50, 100 and 250 more than odd amounts.
Remember earnings can wait. Roblox can hold some sale earnings as Pending for a few days before they reach your balance.
